Advanced Settings
To view Advanced Settings
- In the main window, select Settings > Detailed
Settings. In the left column,
select Options > Advanced.
- OR right-click the firewall
icon in the system tray and select Detailed Settings
in the pop-up menu. In the left column, select Options
> Advanced.

Advanced Settings
- Enable firewall before login:
Your system is under firewall protection even while
you are not logged into Windows. This option is
enabled by default.
- Connect to Information Center:
The Information Center will be displayed upon network
connection. This option is enabled by default.
- Trojan scan when entering game:
A Trojan scan is automatically performed whenever
starting an online game. This option is enabled
by default.
- Trojan scan at startup: A Trojan
scan is automatically performed when the firewall
starts up. This option is enabled by default.
- Check if files in Application Rules have
been modified: This will check if any file
specified in Application Rules has been modified.
This option is disabled by default.
- Password Protection: You can
select "Password required to modify settings" and
"Password required to exit program". This can prevent
unauthorized users from modifying firewall settings
or disabling firewall. This option is disabled
by default.
Once you enable Password Protection, you will be prompted to set up
a password in the "Enter password" window.
Prompt Display Time
- When applications attempt network access:
Enter the prompt display time when applications
attempt network access. The default time is 60 seconds.
- When IP data packets arrive:
Enter the prompt display time when IP data packets
arrive. The default time is 30 seconds.
- Pop-up balloon notices: Enter
the prompt display time for pop-up balloon notices.
The default time is 10 seconds.
Vulnerability Check
- Set up when you wish to be reminded to run the
next Vulnerability Check. The default time is 5
days after your last Vulnerability Check.
- If you fail to perform a vulnerability check after
being prompted, a message will be displayed in the
Firewall Status tab under Risks.
Note
- "Reset" button: Revert to default settings.
- "Save" button: Save current settings.
