Quick Start - Tabs - Firewall Status

Firewall Status

This displays general information on current firewall activity:

  System Status

  • This displays the current mode in which the firewall is operating, and indicates what default action will be taken when applications not specified in Application Rules attempt network access. Refer to "Switch Mode".

  Attack Status

  • This displays information on any attacks to your system. After an attack, you can click Locate IP to visit the Rising Bulletin Board and find the attacker's location. Click Details to view firewall logs in detail.

  Active

  • Icons of active programs are displayed here. If a program is busy, its icon will be flash, allowing the user to check which programs are most busy (having the largest flow of data within a given time).

  Risks

  • This displays the results of your last vulnerability search and provides a reminder if a search has not been run recently.
  • The cycle for Remind me to run next Vulnerability can be configured in Advanced Settings.

  Data Flow Graphs

  • Two graphs are displayed below Risks. The upper graph shows Received bytes and the lower one shows Sent bytes.
  • To the left of the chart, you can configure the highest peak of data packet curve. (This is 10K by default and is unnecessary to change under normal circumstances.)
  • To the right of the chart, figures for received and sent bytes are displayed.
